I began teaching at Minor High School in 2011, helping 34 students pass the science portion of the state graduation exam, with 32 succeeding. From 2012 to 2019, I taught chemistry, AP chemistry, pre-AP chemistry, physics, AP physics, physical science, and zoology in the Walker County School System.
Since August 2019, I have been teaching honors chemistry, AP chemistry, and physical science at Jasper High School in the Jasper City School System. Returning to my alma mater has been a lifelong goal. “GO VIKES!”
I hold an Alabama Class AA teaching certificate in general science, an Ed.S. from the University of Alabama, a Master’s in Education from UAB, and a Bachelor’s of Science from Samford University. I actively pursue professional development through programs like APEX, STEM Certification, and National Board Certification.
